RSMC Negotiations Alert!!!!
Despite the best efforts of the Union’s Negotiating Committee and the Mediator, mediation between the Union and Canada Post was adjourned on June 30, 2011, due to the intransigent and unreasonable positions taken by the employer.
Mediation discussions had been based on the global offers presented by both CPC and the Union. Adjournment of mediation means a return to the arbitration process, with arbitration dates being scheduled for August 18, September 1, 17 & 18, October 29, 30 & 31, as well as November 27 & 28, 2011.
In Other Words: Start saving your money!! The RSMC collective agreement expires on December 31, 2011 and it looks like negotiations are going the same way the Uran Bargain Unit’s did!!!
