Negotiations 2017/2018 information

Ratification & Vote on Negotiation



The current “RSMC” Collective Agreement expires December 31, 2017 and the “Urban Bargaining Unit” Collective Agreement expires January 31, 2018. In accordance with Section 6.09 of the CUPW National Constitution, the National Executive Board (NEB) has adopted a program of demands for contract negotiations.

Under Section 4.02 of the CUPW National Constitution the NEB must report to the members and submit by means of secret ballot to the local the approval of demands. Any such voted must be immediately preceded by a membership information meeting. In order to vote you must attend the information meeting. This allows those member present to make an informed decision.

The following meetings are being held in order to allow CUPW members the ability to discuss and vote on the program of demands for contract negotiations.

A sign language interpreter will be available at the Wednesday September 27, 2017 Meetings 1:00 – 3:00 PM URBAN MEMBERS ONLY  and 3:30 – 5:00 PM RSMC MEMBERS ONLY

Please arrive one half hour before the meeting to register. Only CUPW members in Good Standing that belong to the bargaining units are eligible to attend these meetings and vote on the package of demands.
